Abstract
The proliferation of quantitative research assessment has been accompanied by an increasing growth and diversification of digital infrastructure for evaluative bibliometrics. Since the beginning of the 2000s, insights into academic performance provided by a variety of new databases and devices significantly exceed the capacities of the former Science Citation Index and embedded metrics. Going beyond the research on the construction, uses, and consequences of bibliometric indicators, we therefore posit that a perspective on bibliometric infrastructure is crucial for understanding how evaluative bibliometrics is put into practice.

This piece of research, entitled „Labor market segmentation and overqualification. An analysis of employment adequacy among PhDs“, examines the employment situation of doctoral graduates in Germany using segmentation theory approaches and to takes a critical look at the measurement of employment adequacy. Two questions are adressed: 1. how do segmentation theory indicators, especially the placement within different labor market segments, influence the probability that doctoral graduates are adequately employed? And 2. how do structural conditions of the labor market affect different levels of adequacy of doctoral graduates? The study refers to the data based on the PhD-panel 2014 from DZHW. Abstract
Law as Open Science promises better access to more diverse scholarly literature and teaching or learning materials, transparent writing and citation styles, and more diverse authors, editors and readers. These potentials must be measured against the real existing book market in jurisprudence. So far, the orientation towards the printed monograph and the associated "Open Access fees" and established logics of reputation prevent many possibilities. In this context, an open science transformation would offer the chance to realise the promises of digitisation more extensively than before.
