Charlotte Rungius studied political economics at the University of Mannheim and in Ankara. She continued her studies in peace and conflict studies at the University of Augsburg and in International Relations at the School of International Service (SIS) in Washington DC. During her studies she interned with the German Embassy in the United States and the Federation of American Scientists (FAS). From 2014 to 2017 she was lecturer and research assistant at the Chair for Political Sciences, Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Augsburg. Since January 2018 she is working in the EU project “Science Diplomacy” at the DZHW. Charlotte Rungius is a mediator by training.
