Dilek İkiz-Akıncı studied at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Her doctoral research focuses on issues of educational sociology and inequality theory. Before moving to DZHW, she worked inter alia at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin in the field of qualitative social research. Dilek İkiz-Akıncı has been responsible for qualitative data bases at the Research Data Centre (FDZ) since March 2018.
