Dr. Dimity Stephen studierte Psychologie an der Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australien. Sie arbeitete von 2010 bis 2017 beim Australian Bureau of Statistics zu Ursachen von Mortalität. In 2017 promovierte sie an der Queensland University of Technology in Public Health. Seit Juli 2018 arbeitet sie in der Abteilung Forschungssystem und Wissenschaftsdynamik im Arbeitsbereich Leistungsbewertung und Indikatorik des Deutschen Zentrums für Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsforschung (DZHW) in Berlin.
