Abstract
Im Schnitt wenden Wissenschaftler*innen in Deutschland ein gutes Drittel ihrer Arbeitszeit für eigene Forschung auf. Fast der gleiche Anteil geht in die Lehre und die Betreuung von Studierenden. Dabei werden deutliche Unterschiede zwischen den Statusgruppen sichtbar. Nichtpromovierte (Prädocs) verbringen einen weitaus größeren Anteil ihrer Arbeitszeit mit Forschung als mit Lehre, während es bei Professor*innen umgekehrt ist. Bei promovierten Wissenschaftler*innen (Postdocs) ist das Verhältnis annähernd ausgeglichen. Neben Forschung und Lehre spielen weitere Aufgaben wie Gremienarbeit,
Begutachtung, Drittmittelakquise und Management eine Rolle für Wissenschaftler*innen. Bei den Professor*innen nehmen die genannten Aufgaben zwei
