Sabrina Petersohn studied sociology, political sciences and public law at the University of Potsdam. Previously, she worked at the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences and the University of Wuppertal from 2012 to 2017. Here she was partly responsible for the project “BibPro: The changing nature of research assessment: The institutionalization of bibliometrics as a scientific field and professionalization as an expert field” . In the course of the project she completed her dissertation on the topic of the professionalization of bibliometrics from the perspective of different users of bibliometric expertise, such as academic librarians, expert organizations or research managers. In April 2017 Sabrina started working at the DZHW in different projects. Next to supporting the “Research Core Dataset Helpdesk” she led the BMBF funded project BERTI “New professional roles? Competencies and task profiles in IT-supported research reporting”. As of May 2023 Sabrina took up the role of scientific advisor at the office of the Commission for Research Information in Germany which is located at the DZHW.
