The third survey wave of the DZHW’s Panel Study of School Leavers with a Higher Education Entrance Qualification 2012 began in July 2017. It took place six and a half years after the students gained their higher education entrance qualification. This third survey follows a second survey six months after the school leavers gained their qualification (December 2012) and the first survey six months before the school leavers gained the qualification (December 2011).
The current survey wave aims to analyse the post-school educational and career paths and the realisation of the educational intentions and decisions expressed by the school leavers in the prior waves. To achieve this, detailed information on the structure and monthly progress of the post-school paths of the approx. 11,700 qualified school leaver respondents was acquired, as well as on their attitudes, plans, aims and personal characteristics.
The third survey of the 2012 cohort of school leavers with a higher education entrance qualification focuses on the topics:
- Educational outcomes
- Diversity with special focus on migration background
