AI for Social Science Research (AI4S2R)

Start of the project: 2021-Jan-01 - End of the project: 2026-Dec-31

AI4S2R investigates how artificial intelligence methods can be applied in higher education and science research and which new challenges arise from their use. One focus is on AI bots in data collection, including their impact on data quality and methods for their detection and mitigation. The group also studies AI-assisted approaches to data analysis, particularly the automated coding of open-ended responses. A further focus is the integration of AI into research infrastructures, for example through semantic search and exploration methods that improve access to research data and information.
