Abstract
This session presents the key findings of the INDISTRA project. INDISTRA is a project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with a duration from December 2021 to January 2025. The research agenda of the INDISTRA project focuses on the question of how internationalisation is understood and managed by universities as a digitally supported development opportunity and what goals, opportunities and risks universities associate with digitalisation in this context. The aim of the project is to determine the strategic perspective of universities and their committees and organisational units responsible for internationalisation.

Abstract
More and more universities and research institutions in Germany make use of current research information systems (CRIS) and similar information systems to collect, process and analyze institutional research activities. With universities pushing to digitalize research management processes, new providers of information and database systems enter the market. The Commission for Research Information in Germany (KFiD) and the DINI Working Group Research Information and Systems have decided to launch a collaborative project to continuously monitor these fast-paced developments. The aim is to develop an interactive map of CRIS at German universities and research institutions that are currently planned or already in use.

Scientific research is nowadays overwhelmingly carried out as teamwork. Most research papers in the sciences are co-authored. But little is known about how much co-authors contribute to joint papers. Is there a typical distribution or pattern of contributions? Can contribution percentages be inferred reasonably accurately from the number and order of authors? A good understanding of these issues is crucial for fair assessments, qualitative and quantitative, of researchers. But because author contributions naturally cascade up to higher level aggregates, the implications are also profound the evaluation of research groups, departments, and research organizations.[...]
