Carolin Otto (née Schneider) studied Sociology and Psychology at Martin Luther University in Halle, successfully completing her bachelor’s degree. This was followed by a master’s degree in Criminology and Social Research Methods at London South Bank University. She started working as a researcher on the project “risk management of corruption” funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. She was responsible for preparing, implementing and analysing a quantitative and qualitative population survey. In January 2017 she started working for the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) as a researcher in research area Educational Careers and Graduate Employment.
