Dr. Antje Wegner is a senior researcher at the Berlin office of the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW). She studied sociology, psychology and economics at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and Saint Petersburg State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Regional Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). From 2012 to 2015 she conducted several projects on academic careers at the Institute for Research Information and Quality Assurance (iFQ). From 2017 to 2022 she was co-leading the National Academics Panel Study (Nacaps) at DZHW. Since 2022 her research focuses on practices of evidence and data use in higher education development.
