Andreas Daniel studied sociology with a focus on quantitative methods at Bielefeld University. After working for five years in the DFG long-term project 'Crime in the Modern City', he joined the DZHW in 2015, where he was involved in establishing the Research Data Center for Higher Education Research and Science Studies. From 2017 to 2019, he led the project 'Measures to increase efficiency in the FDZ-DZHW in the areas of data ingest, user requests and communication'. Since 2019, he has been the deputy head of the Research Data Center. His research interests are in the areas of open science, FAIR research data, metadata management, linked open data and criminology.
