Veronika Rückamp
Governance in Higher Education and Science

Veronika Rückamp (neé Lutz) is a sociologist and a religious studies scientist. She holds a bachelor's degree in "Kulturwissenschaft mit Schwerpunkt Religion" (Cultural Studies with Focus on Religion) from the University of Bayreuth and a master's degree in Religion im kulturellen Kontext (Religion in Cultural Context) from the University of Hanover. She spent parts of her university studies in Edinburgh and Lucerne. During her master's programme she worked as a student assistant and later as a research assistant in the project ANKOM - Transitions from Vocational to Higher Education at the DZHW. Between 2012 and 2015 she studied engagement and activities in Muslim associations in Switzerland and Austria as part of the larger project "Civic engagement in immigrant religious communities in Switzerland and Austria". She is writing her PhD-thesis on this topic. In 2013 and 2014 she was a visiting scholar at the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna. Veronika Rückamp worked at the institute for sociology at the University of Göttingen from November 2016 until March 2018. There she studied the regulation of religious practice and diversity in refugee accommodations in Lower Saxony. Since 2016 she is working as a research assistant in the evaluation of the project "Advancement through Education: Open Universities".
